Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a makeup artist, hair stylist, or fashion stylist?
While it's not required, having a makeup artist, hair stylist, or fashion stylist can enhance your experience and the final results of your shoot. These professionals can help ensure you’re camera-ready and looking your best. However, I leave the decision entirely up to you—no pressure. You know your style, preferences, and what works best for you.
Makeup Artist
A professional makeup artist can be a valuable asset for getting “camera-ready.” Photography makeup differs from everyday makeup, and a professional can help highlight your best features under studio lighting. That said, if you’re confident doing your own makeup, that’s completely fine.
A well-lit makeup area is available at the studio for your use. If you'd like to bring a makeup artist, they are welcome both in-studio and on location.
Hair Stylist
If you’re comfortable styling your own hair, that works too! Just remember to bring any essentials you might need—such as a brush, comb, or styling products. I keep a few hair products on hand, but I may not have exactly what you prefer. If you’d like to bring your own hair stylist, they are also welcome.
Fashion Stylist
Wardrobe plays a key role in the success of your shoot. When we discuss your wardrobe beforehand, please do your best to bring the recommended clothing. If you prefer to work with a fashion stylist, that’s a great option and entirely up to you.
Please avoid bringing clothing that is stained, wrinkled, covered in pet hair, or has adhesive residue. I do have an iron available for touch-ups if needed.
Studio & Location
My studio is located in Fort Worth, TX, and I welcome clients from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Whether we’re shooting in the studio or on location, your session will be customized to suit your vision and style.
The studio environment is pet-free, smoke-free, and child-free, ensuring a calm and distraction-free space. You're welcome to bring your favorite playlist to help set the mood!
Retouching
My philosophy is to keep retouching subtle and minimal. I aim to capture the best results in-camera to maintain authenticity and natural beauty. That said, some retouching can be applied based on your preferences—ranging from light adjustments to more refined edits—to help you achieve your ideal final image.
Credentials
Photography is not a hobby for me—it’s a lifelong career. I’ve been a professional photographer for over 40 years, beginning in New York, where I worked with top modeling agencies including Wilhelmina, Ford, and Elite.
My work has been published globally in magazines, advertisements, book covers, and even on billboards. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients—from high-powered business executives (timing is everything!) to celebrities like my personal favorite, actor Larry Hagman (“J.R. Ewing”).
Whether you're stepping in front of the camera for the first time or you're a seasoned pro, I’m here to bring your vision to life. Every shoot is about you—your story, your image, your brand.
Finally
My goal is simple: to deliver photographs that stand out and elevate your personal or professional brand. I bring decades of experience and dedication to every session, and I’ll give you my all to ensure the results speak for themselves.
Let’s connect and collaborate to create something exceptional!
I’m a professional headshot and commercial photographer who enjoys collaborating with both emerging and experienced models and actors who are serious about their careers. I also work closely with art directors and advertising clients on clever, creative, and inspiring photography projects.
Photography is an art form—unique, personal, and subjective. My style reflects my artistic vision and is showcased on both my website and Instagram. Please take a moment to review my portfolio before booking a session to ensure my aesthetic aligns with your expectations.
Retainer Policy
A retainer is required to reserve your photo session. This is a holding fee that guarantees your time slot and ensures my availability exclusively for you. Because I turn down other clients to honor your booking, the retainer is non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
To avoid scheduling conflicts, please “book out” with your agent and/or manager before securing a session with me.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, you must call me directly at (817) 470-6762. Email cancellations are not accepted.
Balance Due
The remaining balance of your session fee is due on the day of your photo shoot. Payment cannot be made via Venmo or Zelle, unless other arrangements have been discussed and confirmed in advance.
Please note: Checks are not accepted.
Full payment is required before the shoot begins.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel your session within 72 hours of the scheduled date and your retainer has already been paid, you may reschedule once and apply your retainer toward a new session date. However, this rescheduled session must take place within 30 days of the original appointment.
Reshoots & Refunds
In the rare case of a camera, lens, or equipment malfunction, a reshoot will be arranged at no additional cost.
Please understand:
There are no refunds if you fail to attend your scheduled photo session.
Rescheduling Due to Weather & Studio Option
For outdoor sessions that rely on natural light, weather conditions must be suitable. If the forecast looks questionable or a weather alert has been issued, I will reach out to you—or you’re welcome to contact me—to discuss options.
When in doubt, we’ll communicate directly to determine whether the session should proceed or be rescheduled. Please note:
There are no refunds due to inclement weather. Instead, your session will simply be rescheduled.
To avoid weather-related delays or last-minute changes, you also have the option to shoot indoors at my studio.
