FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

I am usually asked several important questions before a photo shoot. Some questions pertain to if it is necessary to have a makeup artist, hair stylist, or fashion stylist. It is my professional opinion that a makeup artist, hair stylist, and fashion stylist can be an important asset during the photo shoot, but I don’t insist that the talent use these services. You are the best judge of what looks best on you (i.e., color, style, and the elements of fashion).

MAKEUP ARTIST:

A makeup artist can be an asset to get you “camera” ready. It might be well worth the time and effort, but it’s your call. The makeup artist is welcome to come to the studio or on location. Keep in mind that, makeup for photography is different than everyday makeup. If you are comfortable doing your own camera-ready makeup, that is fine. I have a designated well-lit makeup area for your convenience.

HAIR STYLIST:

If you are confident that you don’t need a hair stylist, that’s fine. Please remember to bring a brush or comb, and any other hair accessories that you might need. I try to keep several hair products on hand but may not have exactly what you need.

FASHION STYLIST:

When we discuss wardrobe prior to the shoot, please try to bring the recommended clothes. If you’d prefer to have a fashion stylist, that’s great. Please do not bring clothes that are stained, crumbled in a ball, have animal hair all over them, or have adhesive residue on them. I have an iron available.

STUDIO | LOCATION:

My studio is in Fort Worth, TX, and clients travel to me from all around the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I offer customized sessions whether we’re in the studio or out on location. My studio is pet-free, smoke-free, and child-free, so there will be no distractions. Feel free to bring your favorite music!

RETOUCHING:

My goal is to keep retouching to a minimum. I prefer to get it right “in the camera.” While some retouching might be necessary, it is customized as to how much or how little you want in order to achieve your desired final look.
